The problem: traditional bandages are not adapted to self-bandaging and homecare

The use of elastic/inelastic bandages is one of the pillars in the management of veno-lymphatic conditions but it remains limited to an application by "trained staff" (international recommandations)

This means, by definition, that traditional bandaging systems are not adapted to self-bandaging. As far as homecare is concerned, the workload of healthcare professionals and their frequent lack of training are often a problem. A German study (K. Protz) showed that with traditional short-stretch bandages, only 10% of healthcare professionals reached the target compression (50-60 mmHg) and that the values of compression measured ranged from 3 to 172 mmHg !

The solution : an hybrid bandage

The Fast'n Go® range has been developed specifically for self-bandaging and homecare by allowing an easy, fast, and safe application that meets the fundamental needs of patients and healthcare professionals:

  • At first, we developed and patented an hybrid technology that allows us to offer a short-stretch bandage (30% maxi) which combines the benefits of long-stretch bandages (easy application and dosage of compression)  to those of inelastic bandages (Stiffness and therefore efficiency) while getting rid of their respective inconveniences (If you wish to learn more or to exchange on these points, we suggest you to register for one of our free technical training session: This email address is being protected from spambots. • Then we analysed all problems and hurdles that patients willing to self-bandage can meet and we brought an easy answer to them:
Issues with traditional systems Solutions brought by Thonic Innovation

An important number of bandages to be applied (then removed, washed, rewound, ...) while respecting an order

With Fast'n Go, you only apply one bandage (Fig. 1)

An application side against the skin to be respected

Fast'n Go bandage is reversible (Fig. 1)

Starting self-bandaging an upper limb is difficult as you only have one hand to do it.

Fast'n Go bandage has an anchor-point d'ancrage for the thumb  (Fig. 2)

Respecting the correct application tension is difficult

Our patented mechanically stretch limitation system makes it possible to rewind the bandage under tension (Fig. 3)

Respecting the recommended appliciation overlap is difficult

Fast'n Go bandage has an overlap indicator that makes it much easier to respect the recommended 50% overlap  (Fig. 4)

The application continuum between 2 bandages is difficult

We have developped the Fast'n Go Extension range (Fig. 5)
Fastening bandages at the end of application can be challenging

We have developped the Fast'n Go Fastening system (Fig. 6)

 Multi-layer bandaging systems are bulky.

Fast'n Go bandage allows most of you to wear your usual clothes and shoes (Fig. 7) and to practice your favorite activities (Fig. 8)

The cost and environmental impact of disposable 2-layer kits is worrying you

Fast'n Go bandage is washable and re-usable

Having to wear continuously your traditional bandages for long periods of time (24 hours and up to 7 days) is disturbing you in your daily life.

The application simplicity of Fast'n Go bandage allows you to remove it when you want (shower, shopping, ...) and to re-apply it easily and quickly. Moreover, do not forget that each re-application will allow you to start again from the maximum efficiency when it is known that bandages lose on average 50% of their compression power after 2 hours.
